My mom and I read poetry together every morning. She lives in Oklahoma, and I live in Florida. I send her pictures of the poems and we discussed. This one was a gift from a reader of mine, so I gave it a shot. While I think there were many great poems in this, I wasn't overly impressed. The writing is pretty simple and a lot of the poems felt repetitive to me. I didn't really have any WOW moments where a poem knocked my socks off. That being said, my mom really enjoyed it and we discussed many of the poems at length.
